RNGD Named #1 Midsize Workplace in New Orleans for Third Consecutive Year

Company Also Recognized for “Clued In Senior Management” at 2025 Top Workplaces Awards

RNGD has been recognized as the premier midsize workplace in New Orleans, earning the top spot at The Times-Picayune/NOLA.com’s 2025 Top Workplaces awards. This marks the third consecutive year (2023, 2024, and 2025) that the company has received this prestigious recognition.

In addition to claiming the overall midsize category winner, RNGD was honored with a special award for “Clued In Senior Management,” recognizing leadership that demonstrates deep understanding of what’s happening within the organization—a distinction that reflects the company’s commitment to open communication and employee engagement.

Employee-Driven Recognition

The Top Workplaces awards are based on anonymous employee surveys conducted by Energage, a Philadelphia-based employee research firm. This year’s program surveyed more than 40,000 employees across 74 New Orleans businesses, asking whether they feel valued, respected, and aligned with their employer’s mission.

RNGD competed in the midsize category, which includes companies with 125 to 299 employees, and emerged as the clear leader among its peers.

Leadership That Listens

Erin Maurin, Renegade Academy Director, emphasized leadership’s commitment to feedback: “RNGD Leadership has thoughtfully created multiple avenues for team members to actively share their thoughts and feedback. They not only carefully review all feedback in detail but also prioritize and implement positive changes to enhance the overall employee experience. They are truly clued in!”

Amy Caboni, Employee Experience Manager, highlighted the accessibility of leadership: “Senior Management welcomes feedback from all business units and departments, whether it be field, office, fresh to RNGD, tenured, etc. There are a lot of designated opportunities to give feedback and thoughts – Culture Lunches, 1:1s, team huddles, eNPS and other surveys, YP events, etc. We have such easy access here as well – and that, you don’t see very much. The Leadership Team encourages reaching out, wild ideas, and will make themselves available to our Renegades – because we are one team.”

Setting the Industry Standard

Maurin noted RNGD’s focus on individual growth sets the company apart in the construction industry: “RNGD’s emphasis on individual development sets us apart from not only construction companies, but most companies in our region. We consider where employees are today, where they want to be in the future, and then meet them with mentorship, training, and career opportunities to get them to where they want to be! Very few organizations offer the freedom to shape your own path and provide the tools for success the way RNGD does.”

Caboni emphasized the power of the company’s team-first culture: “This band of Renegades truly continues to push the industry forward – and we all recognize that it takes the power of TEAM to make that happen. Our people are our strongest asset and give RNGD the biggest edge in the industry. If you want to make something happen here, you can. That culture and the people are what drive us to success and allow us to constantly challenge the status quo.”

Recognition Among Regional Leaders

The awards ceremony took place Wednesday at the Higgins Hotel in downtown New Orleans, where nearly 300 attendees celebrated the winning organizations. Other category winners included Gulf Coast Bank & Trust Company (large businesses) and LAMMICO (small businesses), while additional special awards recognized excellence in areas such as leadership, innovation, and work-life flexibility.

A Three-Year Winning Streak

The three-year winning streak reflects RNGD’s ongoing commitment to creating an environment where every team member can thrive. The “Clued In Senior Management” award particularly highlights how the leadership team’s dedication to staying connected with employees at all levels has created a workplace culture built on trust, transparency, and mutual respect.
