History

Growing up in a family with over 70 years of experience in the construction industry, Wesley J. Palmisano comes from a legacy of hard work. His entrepreneurial spirit and vision incited an ambitious new business plan as Palmisano . Launched in 2013, Wesley began with a team of 11 employees and an equally dynamic commercial project: the 20,000-square-foot boutique entertainment facility Fulton Alley.

In three short years, the company accelerated its growth, met revenue goals, increased the team’s size, won noteworthy commercial construction projects across the New Orleans metropolitan area, and earned local and national recognition. Soon after, the company expanded with a heavy civil construction division and self-perform capabilities — further solidifying our True Builder status.

Our capabilities expanded further with a division specializing in highly customized architectural millwork and metalwork design, steel fabrication and erection, and standard prefabricated elements for projects of all scale. The company continues to expand beyond its New Orleans footprint by working across the Gulf Coast region, with more than 260 team members, and an expansion to offices in Nashville, TN, and Huntsville, AL.

Palmisano rebranded to RNGD in 2024 as part of our True Builder evolution. The aligned identity leans into the moniker that began with our CEO’s daring vision and extends to the unique approach our Renegade Team is known for.

Over the years, the company has found unique ways to revolutionize the construction eco-system. With the launch of Renegade Academy, a series of workshops that help develop the next generation of construction professionals, the company established itself as a reputable industry thought leader.

In conjunction with Wesley’s vision for achieving a brighter future with access to opportunity, he established The Palmisano Foundation in 2016 to transform lives of underprivileged youth through construction initiatives and since that date, the Foundation has donated over $2 Million to the Greater New Orleans community.

Just as in our early days, RNGD continues to honor the timeless principles of hard work, teamwork, and the company’s unparalleled reputation that drives its growth.
