Impetus to Build New Orleans Based Hotel, The Chloe in Nashville

Boutique hotel The Chloe Nashville will open in Hillsboro Village in 2024.
A boutique New Orleans hotel brand is opening its second location in Nashville in 2024.
The Chloe Nashville, through a partnership between New Orleans-based hospitality group LeBlanc + Smith and Nashville-based commercial real estate development firm The Mainland Cos., will open at 1908 Acklen Ave. in Hillsboro Village, according to a release.
The Mainland Cos. purchased the 0.43-acre site in October 2021 for $4.25 million and applied to build a three-story hotel in May.
“We are working with The Mainland Companies to create a hotel that is by Nashville for Nashville. More importantly, we want guests to feel completely at home at The Chloe and in Nashville, whether they be from down the street or from across the globe,” said Robert LeBlanc, founder and CEO of LeBLANC + SMITH, in the release.
The Chloe Nashville will have 19 guest rooms, ranging from 400 square feet to 817 square feet, with prices starting at $375 up to $950. Nine rooms will be housed in two historic, existing homes with a third building adding ten rooms.
Architecture will be done by Nashville-based Remick Architecture and design of the restaurant, bars, lobby and rooms will be handled by Sara Ruffin and Paul Costello. Nashville-based landscape architecture firm Duke Design Group’s Gavin Duke will design outdoor gardens, pool and private event space.
“Mainland is excited to work with LeBlanc + Smith on this adaptive reuse project. We enjoy finding creative ways to reposition historic properties and believe The Chloe will contribute to the vibrancy of Hillsboro Village and Nashville,” said James Lennon, chief operating officer of The Mainland Cos., in the release.
The Chloe Nashville’s food and beverage offerings will be led by a Nashville-based chef, beverage director and general manager to create offerings that channel Music City’s culture.
The Chloe New Orleans opened in 2020 at 4125 St. Charles Ave. in a 19th century mansion. It has since been featured in several national publications including The Best New Design Hotels in the World: 2021 Hot List in “Conde Nast Traveler,” It List 2021: Our Editors’ Picks of the Best New Hotels in the World in “Travel + Leisure” and “The New York Times Style Magazine.”
