New Orleans CityBusiness celebrates its 20th year of honoring legal leaders who have made a significant impact on our community. This year’s honorees, including RNGD’s Chief Legal Officer Erika Bush, exemplify excellence and dedication to the legal profession.

Erika Bush, recognized as an In-House Counsel, balances her passion for helping others with her expertise in construction law. She leads RNGD’s Risk Management team, fostering a culture of effective risk management. Bush is proud of her team’s talent and the challenges that keep her engaged. She’s committed to mentoring young professionals and giving back to the community through organizations like Animal Rescue New Orleans and Toys for Tots.

Erika Bush

CHIEF LEGAL OFFICER RNGD, LLC Erika Bush has found success by finding a way to balance her desire to help people and her respect for the construction industry. In her role as Chief Legal Officer at RNGD, LLC, Bush blends these passions by leading a Risk Management team and overseeing the efforrts in effective risk management strategy.

She prides herself on the challenges the job presents, thankful for the opportunities it has given her. “I am fortunate to work with very talented individuals and a capable group who challenges me every day which in turn makes me show up accordingly,” Bush said.

On any given day, Bush is busy at work doing a number of things like “collaborating and developing risk management strategies for the company, demonstrating clear objectives, plans and KPI’s for my team, coach and advise on legal matters, [and] being a trusted adviser to the CEO.”

Her proudest moments are when her leadership positively impacts the lives of others. Bush is a mentor to the interns on her team, helping to instill the skills and condence they need to succeed in law school and beyond.

Through her nonprofit organization, Bush serves the community by securing scholarships for seniors graduating and working with other “organizations that have benefited from our efforts.” Some of these include Animal Rescue New Orleans, Toys for Tots, Geaux Seven Blue Star Moms of the Military and St. Michael’s School.

Being a mom to her nine-year-old, baseball-loving son and chasing her two dogs keeps Bush going outside of work.
