Tanya Freeman

Tanya Freeman brings over 25 years of commercial construction expertise to her role as Vice President, Administration at RNGD. Beginning her career in 1996 with a Northshore general contracting firm, she has held diverse roles throughout the industry, gaining invaluable experience in every aspect of commercial construction. In her current executive leadership position, Tanya oversees broad organizational responsibilities that require deep knowledge of multiple company processes, focusing on improving operational efficiencies, driving growth initiatives, and streamlining administrative functions through her strategic thinking and superior interpersonal skills.

A passionate advocate for professional development and industry advancement, Tanya worked with the team to create the Renegade Academy talent development program, a collaborative, well-rounded curriculum that supports leadership growth and development for all RNGD employees. She was also instrumental in founding the Palmisano Foundation, where she serves on the Board of Directors, leading strategic initiatives that build a better, healthier world through partnerships benefiting disadvantaged youth and the AEC industry. Her extensive project management experience includes overseeing more than $350 million in commercial construction projects across hospitality, adaptive reuse, historic renovation, retail, and institutional sectors.

Tanya’s commitment to industry leadership is demonstrated through her active involvement with professional organizations, including serving on the board of the Outreach Committee for Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) New Orleans/Bayou Chapter, where she earned the prestigious 2020 Member of the Year award. She maintains memberships in the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) and the American Society of Healthcare Engineers (ASHE), continuously advancing education and networking opportunities for industry professionals.

Beyond her professional achievements, Tanya dedicates multiple hours monthly to community service, serving on the Junior Achievement of Greater New Orleans Board of Directors and volunteering with numerous organizations including YouthForce NOLA, Habitat for Humanity, and Second Harvest Food Bank. Her philanthropic leadership has earned recognition through multiple awards, including Junior Achievement Board Member of the Year (2020) and RNGD Mentor of the Year (2020) and New Orleans CityBusiness’s Woman of the Year Honoree in 2021. Guided by her personal philosophy that “the more passionate you are about the things you do, the more impact you will create,” Tanya exemplifies values-based leadership focused on developing others and building stronger communities.
