Brett Ruppel

There’s vision, and then there are the people that make it happen. As Chief Construction Officer, Brett enables RNGD to meet and achieve its goals by aligning both the team and project strategy accordingly. In 2015, Brett joined RNGD to establish and lead the company’s Self-Perform Divisions: Civil, Concrete, and Carpentry. Since then, his titles and responsibility have changed and grown. Yet his mission has been constant throughout it all: to diversify RNGD’s service areas and develop a team of top talent.

Apart from his role as Chief Construction Officer, Brett serves as Safety Committee Chair, overseeing RNGD’s best-in-class safety management practices, as well as RNGD’s warehouse and construction equipment. As a natural renegade, Brett regularly challenges traditional construction practices. His high level of curiosity consistently pushes the envelope and overturns the status quo in all aspects of construction. 

From River Ridge, Louisiana, Brett earned his degree in Marketing, Management, and Business Administration from the University of New Orleans. And he brings his experience full circle by passing it on to the next generation. Active in fulfilling RNGD’s community initiatives, Brett volunteers much of his time for Ace Mentors and regularly hosts student groups for educational job site tours. He serves as a board member for Louisiana Associated General Contractors. He was a member of the New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute NORLI) class of 2020 and was named Ones to Watch: Construction by New Orleans CityBusiness in 2017. Outside of spending time with his wife, Lauren, and their three kids, you can find Brett, an active member of Ducks Unlimited, hunting deer or ducks, depending on the season. Aside from staying busy with projects, Brett settles in with a good book whenever he gets the chance.

RENEGADE PHILOSOPHY: Treat people fairly. Don’t ask anyone to do anything you are not willing to do. Respect given and earned is a powerful tool.
